Steampunk Mage

Concept art for a steampunk government mage. Rather than mages and wizards that use books and encantations, magic is more a technology in this world. The government uses these mages more as personal bodyguards and assassins. They hover/float which makes them excellent for chasing down enemies, can deploy two energy blades and produce a shield barrier resistant to small projectiles such as rifles (though rocket launcher or artillery fire will go right through)
